19. CASABLANCA MEETING Two months after the greatest American expeditionary force ever sent overseas invades North Africa, President Roosevelt and Prime Minister Churchill meet in January. 1943 with high ranking American and British military leaders. 24. FIRST DAYLIGHT AIR RAID ON ROME A B-26 Marauder is seen dropping its bombs on the railroad yards in Rome. Perfect precision bombing keeps estruction far away from non-military targets including the Vatican, seen in the lower right hand corner.
