Korean War marked the beginning of a long list of distinguished experiences
for this remarkable man. As an author, James' books have garnered several awards and critical acclaim, though none of his accomplishments bear greater meaning to him then his latest offering, VOICES: A Tribute to the American Veteran a newly-released CD in which he pays tribute to America and those who protect and defend her. Brock in PERRY MASON, with episodes that ran from 1986 to 1995. Splitting time between film and television, he has appeared in well over 100 productions, and has worked with such greats as John Wayne, Sidney Poitier, Bette Davis, Clint Eastwood, Henry Fonda, and Steven Spielberg. In addition to PERRY MASON and starring in his own NBC-TV series, TENAFLY,
McEachin has appeared in such television dramas as MATLOCK; HILL STREET
BLUES; DIAGNOSIS MURDER; COLUMBO; and MURDER SHE WROTE. In 2002, McEachin
starred as a U.S. Supreme Court Justice with James Garner, Joe Montegna,
and Charles Durning in the short-lived CBS Supreme Court drama, FIRST
MONDAY, and has just completed a film short entitled, REVEILLE. (View
this moving short film at Google October 2ND, 2005: At the recommendation of Major Ernest Parker of OCAR, James McEachin returns to service as an Army Reserve Ambassador for the United States Army Reserves. Known for his appearances and speeches on behalf of the military and various Veterans' groups, the actor/author's nomination came from Major General Robert Ostenberg of the 63rd Regional Readiness Command and appointment by Lieutenant General James R. Helmly of Washington DC. The position is a three-year term and carries a protocol rank of 2-star General. August 18Th, 2005: California Congressman David Dreier awards McEachin medals of valor for acts of gallantry and heroism performed in the Korean War. The awards include the esteemed Silver Star and Purple Heart. McEachin sustained multiple wounds in combat and served in the military for a period of six years. He had earned the medals in 1952, but didn't receive them until some 52 years after discharge and just prior to accepting the role of Army Reserve Ambassador. January 10Th, 2005: McEachin releases a follow-up to his award-winning
CD, Pebbles in the Roadway with VOICES: A Tribute to the American Veteran,
a compilation of his own writing, narration, and musical direction meant
to honor all those who have served and are currently serving in the United
